Description

Apple IIc Plus A2S4500. The last Apple II model and the fastest. Introduced in 1988, this portable computer retained the true plug and play usability of the IIc. The equivalent of five slot cards were built in to the Apple IIc Plus motherboard. An Extended 80 Column Card, two Apple Super Serial Cards, a Mouse Card, and a disk drive controller card. This meant the Apple IIc Plus had 128 KB RAM, 80-column text, and Double-Hi-Resolution graphics built-in and available right out of the box. All you had to do is plug in the printer, mouse or other accessory without worrying about an interface card.

Changes from the IIc include:
4Mhz CPU
Internal 3 1/2” drive
Internal power supply
Platinum in color
Modified keyboard
Mini DIN 8 serial ports

These computers are nearly 35 years old, so expect minor scuffs or scratches. Anything more major will be noted below. All are clean and work great. Expect at least minor discoloration on everything and it may or may not be noticeable depending on the coloring of your drive and monitor. You can read more about coloring or discoloration here.

From Apple, when you purchased a IIc Plus, you received a computer, power cable, manuals (Apple IIc Plus Owner’s Guide, Apple II System Disk User’s Guide, A Touch of Applesoft BASIC) and disks (Your Tour of the Apple IIc Plus, Apple II System Disk) for $675 (nearly half the price of the IIc).

Availability here is all of the above as a “complete setup” or as the computer only without any extra goodies. *Note: Complete setup will likely include non original disks. Nicest condition manuals will go first, but all have been used. Standard computer power cable is included regardless.
