Description

Apple Macintosh Plus, M0001A. This is the original Beige colored Plus.

The Plus was the third model in the Macintosh family and the first to include a SCSI port. It sports a 9″ black and white monitor, an 8 MHz 68000 processor, came standard with 1 MB of RAM – expandable to 4, and has an 800k 3.5″ floppy disk drive. Retail price was $2600 and was sold from 1986 to 1990. The Plus was the last Mac to use a RJ-11 connector for the keyboard cable and a DE-9 ( DB-9) pin mouse – both went to ADB in later models.

Bonuses include a MacMemory 2MB memory upgrade and a MaxChill piezoelectric fan! Cleaned inside and out and the disk drive has been serviced. The fan does indeed work and occasionally makes a small buzzing noise.

Contents straight from the Macintosh Plus Unpacking Guide:

  • Macintosh Plus computer
  • Power cord
  • Keyboard
  • Keyboard cable
  • Mouse
  • Macintosh Plus, the owner’s guide
  • A Guided Tour of Macintosh Plus Disk
  • A Guided Tour of Macintosh Plus Cassette tape
  • Macintosh Plus System Tools disk
  • Macintosh Plus System Tools backup disk
  • Software Sampler Disk
  • Software Sampler Flyer
  • Programmer’s Switch

And of course the box, accessory box, and a flyer – Wow. I didn’t know I could do that!

Notes: This is the nicest Beige Plus I have in stock, and there is light discoloration – most noticeable on the right side of the case where you can barely see two faint stripes on one area. I do not have a box matching the serial number on the Plus, but this is my nicest box. The only packing material that remains is the bottom styrofoam (yes, there is an Apple logo on it). The accessory box is dated May 1986, and there is a tear in the lower left corner of the top of it. The System on the disk is 3.0/Finder 5.1.

It will all be packed inside the Plus box and that put inside another box for shipping.
